Tata Motors has signed an agreement with MDI of France to develop a car that will run on compressed air. The car will be virtually pollution free.
After 14 years of research and development, Guy Negre of MDI has developed an engine that could become one of the biggest technological advances of this century.
The car might hit Indian roads in 2-years and will cost around 3.5 lakhs. The car is expected to give a mileage of 300KMs in 90 Rupees.
The top speed of the car will be around 60km/hr using air alone and 200 km/hr using an air and petrol combination engine.
